The club entertains a number of social groups each year, either as one of the regular meetings of a voluntary organisation or as a special event, e.g. an office awayday. Golf Croquet is usually played, as it can be enjoyed by people with no previous experience. All equipment is provided, but participants should be asked to bring flat soled footwear and outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather!
Sessions typically last 1.5 - 2 hours and some groups bring refreshments to enjoy afterwards in the pavilion. Hot drinks and crockery can be provided.
The maximum size of a group is normally 24 players. Sessions are hosted by a club member and a charge of £10 a head is made for voluntary organisations (by negotiation for commercial ones).
For further information or to book a session, please use the contact form (specifying the General Enquiries category) or phone Miranda Chapman on 07599 409580. When planning dates, evening sessions are best held in June, July and August (when it is both light and, hopefully, warm) and should avoid Tuesdays (which are club days), and Tournaments.
