On Saturday 30th April 20 players took part in this year's competition, a heat of the national event run in support of Myeloma UK. Sue Wileman, with 4 wins out of 4, was the winner. She beat the previously unbeaten Peter Hanley in the final round. Peter was runner-up on 4/5, where he was joined by Beatrice McGlen, Sue was presented with the Hansen trophy, one which was given by a former member who was very fond of one-ball competition.
Several members donated cake for tea, and donations for this, plus entry fees of £5 per player, meant that we raised £120 for the charity.
